The requirement of planning permission will be entirely dependent on the size and design of your new extension or garden room. Many garden rooms will not require planning permission. Recently relaxed development rules will also mean that fewer extensions require planning permission also. Can My Garden Room Cover the Width of My Garden?
All garden rooms will require space around the permitter known as a “boundary”. A boundary is required for the structure to fit within your permitted development space.
A boundary for a garden room up to 15m2 is usually 0.5 meters
A boundary for a larger garden room above 15m2 will be 1 meter
Can You Install a Base?
Yes. LCS can install a base for your new garden room made of either wood or concrete. Alternatively, you can have you own base built that LCS can build on top of.
How Should I Prepare My Garden for Your Work?
To prepare your garden for us please ensure there is no rubbish or debris on the build site. Also please ensure that any access points to your garden are clear weather they be side or rear access points.
Do You Handle Site Clearance?

Will You Install Electricity for my Garden Room?
Yes, LCS will ensure your garden room is capable of housing anty electrical appliances you require from gym equipment to lighting. LCS will make sure your garden room has plug, sockets and light fittings. If you require wiring to your homes main electrical mains this can be completed by us or your own electrician.
Will You Construct Internal Walls?
Yes. Your garden room can be partitioned in any configuration that you want to create multiple separate rooms.
Can Plumbing Be Installed for My Garden Room?
Yes. Life Changing Spaces can work with your plumber or provide one of our own to ensure that plumbing is installed within your new garden room.

How Long Does it Take To Build A Garden Room?
